Community Acupuncture Cornwall

aspiring towards affordable and accessible acupuncture for everyone

(details on location and opening times coming soon)

What is it?

The community clinic uses a multi-bed set up. A multi-bed set up uses an open space with multiple beds in one room, often split with room dividers. This is a common experience in China, Taiwan and areas of East Asia.

Different to a private clinic, once the practitioner has finished their treatment and allows the person to rest with the needles (25-30 minutes), they move onto the next person. This allows for more people to be seen per hour and therefore reduces the rate of treatment.

By breaking down the barrier of cost we are not only able to reach a far wider demographic, reaching people who would not usually have access to this type of treatment, but also acupuncture works most efficiently cumulatively, and therefore when people are able to utilise the treatment more consistently, we in turn see significant improvements in health.

“The human journey is a continuous act of transfiguration. If approached in friendship; the unknown, the anonymous, the negative and the threatening gradually yield their secret affinity with us.”
